Description of the Flat Headed Sleeve
If space or clearance is critical, we suggest using a Nyltite Flat Headed Sleeve. The Flat Headed Sleeve is essentially the same as the standard Nyltite Headed Sleeve except that the usual rolled head is flattened, making the overall envelope smaller, making it useful for applications where space is critical and providing more material under the head. It works exactly the same way as the standard Headed Sleeve does and, like the standard sleeve, is an excellent fastener and seal when used with a screw, bolt or rivet.
Relationship to Other Nyltite Products
We can provide you he Nyltite Headed Sleeve directly or as a sleeve that is pre-mounted on a screw. We also sell headless sleeves for applications where fastening or sealing is not critical. Headless sleeves, however, provide excellent mechanical and electrical isolation, superior to those of conventional isolators or bushings and can be used to prevent galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals. Variations of the headless sleeve include the Nyltite Hole Liner and the Nyltite snap bushing.
